Our lead hygienist, Minden, or Mindy, is named after a city. She has been practicing dental hygiene since 2010, and has been with Dr. Christopher Bates’s dental family for 5 years. She received her dental hygiene education in the Olympic Peninsula. Rather than being trained in a traditional hygiene-only school, she was trained at a full-service community health clinic and at tribal clinics. From her experiences, she believes that delivering the best possible care to her patients depends on getting to know the person attached to the teeth. When Minden isn’t taking care of her patients’ teeth, she is spending time with her husband and teenage son. They enjoy hiking, camping, bow hunting, gardening, and feeding their friends. She loves to play in the kitchen, paint, and sew.
